Microneedling
Microneedling skin rejuvenation is designed to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and skin imperfections. It is a fast and effective treatment that compliments a variety of cosmetic laser treatments.
What is Microneedling?
During this procedure, tiny needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to stimulate collagen and elastin growth. The skin repair process results in a thicker dermis with tighter skin and improved color of skin. This is the best treatment for melasma because no heat is involved.
What MicroNeedle do you use?
SkinStylus® MicroSystems provide advanced technology that offers exceptional results for many clients. THREE cartridge configurations for maximum treatment flexibility. The ONLY microneedling device FDA cleared to 2.5 mm. A Class II Medical Device for the indication of treating abdominal scars (such as tummy tuck scars) and so much more.
What condition does it treat?
Microneedling is highly effective at reducing fine lines and wrinkles. It is used to treat a variety of skin conditions that cause depressions in the skin such as acne scarring, surgical scars, other scars, burns, enlarged pores, wrinkles, and stretch marks. Stimulates dull skin by improving circulation and renewing radiance. Helps to break up and remove stubborn hyperpigmentation issues such as melasma. Microneedling does wonders to help tighten skin and improve texture.
Who can be treated?
Microneedling yields amazing results when treating those with mild to moderate skin laxity and/or acne scarring. Those with dark spots and sun damage respond very well to Microneedling. Every skin type can benefit from the Microneedling treatment, however, those who have a history of Keloid issues should refrain. Microneedling is perfect for those who want great results, but do not wish to experience the downtime which is frequently associated with deeper laser resurfacing treatments.
How long does it take?
The microneedling pen will move quickly across the skin, and will feel somewhat prickly, but not very uncomfortable due to the numbing cream. Numbing time is about 30 minutes, and the Microneedling process itself usually takes about 15-30 minutes, depending on skin thickness and target issues. So, the average total treatment time for Microneedling is about one hour.
What Results Should I Expect?
The best results are achieved by completing a series of treatments with Microneedling. Although results vary from person to person, most will experience a decided improvement in the tone and texture of the skin. Fine lines and wrinkles soften dramatically, and scarring becomes significantly less noticeable.
Generally, clients start to see dramatic skin tightening after 6 to 10 sessions, and reduce scarring after 8 to 10 sessions. We recommend about 4 to 6 weeks between each microneedling session.
